During Linux Day 2013 in Lucca (Italy) was presented an home automation system by Hastega named Roomatic and based on Cosino Mega 2560 where users can manage some lights and a door lock/unlock with a normal (Android) smartphone!

The system is completely managed by Cosino and it’s very easy to use: once a new user is registered in the system, by using a normal web form, he/she can manage lights and the door lock/unlock status by using a smartphone/tablet connected to Cosino’s wifi.

The door can also be unlocked by inserting a smartcard into Cosino’s smartcard reader; the system will check the user data stored into its database and then, if the user has the specified rights, the door will be opened.
